The reason for that is the LED technology has emerged. It’s is extremely fascinating especially for the designer. That could be compared to a painter who was given new means of expression, sculptor who was introduced to a new material, or a musician who was offered unique, unknown instrument.

Aluminum profiles are humidity resistant. In addition, models such as HR-LINE or HR-ALU meet IP 67 waterproof level. HR-LINE is designed to be applied in surfaces designated for vehicles (driveways, parking lots etc.). The profile’s construction makes it durable and sturdy and resistant to standard loads.
KLUS profiles are designed for LEDs so that LED strips can be mounted in the profile. LEDs are offered for sale separately as electrical elements. Craftsman, producer or any other contractor would find it difficult to frame and mount LED strips (row LEDs). Trying to do so may give the opposite outcome than desired such as poor LED lighting effect or design. Profiles were designed to solve and avoid obstacles related to LEDs mounting. Profiles standardized the mounting techniques of the LEDs and enable the use of this source of lighting in any desired aeries.
New fixture system consists of various profile shapes that are suitable for different applications such as: shelves, furniture compartments, glass elements, walls, exhibitor stands, grooves, stair railways, stair steps etc.
The system also includes such profile shapes that cover the LED source of light and direct it towards the exposed object so that the light does not irritate the eyes of potential user.
Each profile consists of a main body and a cover that lets the light in. Profiles sections include elements that enable mounting, gluing, easy assembly and disassembly, and immobilization of LED strips.
LEDs are energy efficient. In average they consume 30% less power than the incandescent bulbs. The key strength of profiles is their compact size. Halogen fixtures became very popular in the furniture industry because of their small dimensions. As LEDs are even smaller it bodes well for their glowing vision of the future. Their compact size contributes to entirely new quality of light usage in the furniture industry and expands design possibilities.
The way of how profiles are mounted depends on the application and a designated mounting spot for the fixture. They can be mounted with the use of small screws with cone shaped tops faced with the profile surface or double sided mounting tapes, or mounting glues.
LEDs can be applied to almost all types of furniture. They can emit both decorative and fully functional light. Compact size of the LEDs enables them to be mounted to spaces unreachable before such as slim design and thin furniture pieces.
Advantages of LED lighting make profiles with the inserted LEDs highly popular. The demand for them constantly increases because they can be applied to wide range of furnishing applications, starting with these where the light is an essential element ( exhibitor stands, kitchen cabinets etc.) and these where light is just an accent and is used to create atmosphere ( closets, bedrooms etc.)
